Photoshop Retouching: Free Photoshop Actions make image editing both faster & easier than ever.
A new developer is offering free Photoshop retouching tutorials as well as free Photoshop Actions. He says that... Even relative beginners can now carry out sophisticated image editing with confidence

The Photoshop retouching learning curve

Anyone and everyone who has ever pursued the art of image editing using Photoshop retouching techniques will have progressed through a steep and arduos learning curve, which at times will have been quite testing. Mike Eastman of www.photodomination.com, says this has now all changed. He believes that his new Photoshop action set is now revolutionising the process for many photographers, amateuers and professionals alike.

For Amateurs & Professional Photoshop users alike

He says that “Around the world there are hundreds of thousands of photographers practicing and perfecting their image editing skills, both for fun and for profit right now.” He goes on to add “Amateurs want a simple ‘point & click’ system they can ‘plug-in’ that can give them really great results which will look superb on their walls at home, or really cool on their latest Blog update. Professionals however need something more than that. They need a complete workflow enhancement system that will empower them to produce results which makes them distinct from their customers.”

This Photoshop Action does its job in under a minute

In the past, this kind of system would have come at a hefty price. However it seems that this price tag has gone, for now anyway. It is claimed that for the Professional this Photoshop Action set is the answer. Apparently, once easily installed, at the click of a button, this Photoshop action launches itself and works a whole series of small to large miracles, enhancing your images along the way. It uses a sophisticated and bewildering combination of layers, masks, alpha channel selections, skin enhancing processes and auto area selections to do its job. At the end you are left with a set of infinitely variable controls within the layers palette enabling you to put the perfect finishing touches to your image. Your image will now be ready to show to friends and family, or to your clients. All this is done in under a minute.

Could this be more than just ‘another Photoshop Action set’?

This Photoshop Action set is called the ’60sec EZ retouch’ and can be obtained through the www.photodomination.com website as a free download with full tutorials. It seems that, whatever your background in photography or image editing, this addition to your Photoshop arsenal is worthwhile having and could potentially become a mainstay. Mike says that the range is being extended, but for now he is continuing to give away this original image editing solution.

Its true! The best posers get the best sales – year on year. Portrait styles have changed across the years. Exciting, casual, fun, informal, contemporary and natural. But…Also missing from so much portrait work that I see today is structure, balance, expression & artistic merit. The old ways are dead & long live the new. Customers paid a $1,000 or more for each of these images

Easier said than done though, isn’t it? There are two main problems facing all photographers today.
The first is the global economy. As consumers tighten their belts, professional photography, often considered a luxury at such times in many of its niche markets, can be hard hit. This forces all Professionals to become leaner, meaner & far more competitive. It also forces ‘aspiring’ newbie pro’s to either become ever more innovative or to hang up their newly accquired equipment before they have really started.
The Risks
The second problem is that with so much information out their, which way do you go? How do you find the best techniques and styles that the end users, your customers, actually want? Which courses are actually going to give you the advantage you need? What if you make a huge investment in time and money, using up your valuable resources and then find that what you are doing is really a dead duck! Many of us have been there already!
The Solution
As a photographer myself, I knew that a fresh approach was needed. Also it was clear that for photographers to aim for their old goals of ‘making a living’ just wasn’t going to cut it anymore. Let’s face it, any ‘Joe’ with a digital camera can turn out pictures that are often good enough to satisfy family and friends. This means that the poor old pro has to work harder than ever at creating a real difference in service, customer care and finished results.
The Professional Photogrpahers difference.
But most importantly, it does not matter how great the photographers work is, if the customer can not see a tangible and worthwhile difference between what you are offering and what they can produce themselves, they won’t be back. Will they? This ‘digital’ thing really is a two edged sword.

On the other hand, if you are innovative; if you are genuinely excited at having them as customers; if you do for them what others can’t and if its stuff that they can get excited about too, then they will spend. They will refer others. They will come back for more! In no time at all you could dominate your market place! That is the kind of target that is essential today. This kind of ‘outrageous & aspirational’ thinking is not for everyone. That’s fine, isn’t it? However, bear in mind that your nearest and dearest competitor is on his(or her)own way to dominate your market place right now.

Before you switch off your thinking, declaring that dominating your photogrpahic niche market is beyond you, realise this: It is easier than you think. It can be quicker than you think & the rewards will be better than you think!
